About gathr
An open dataset of London venues that host hackathons and tech community events. It answers the questions organisers actually ask: is it free for community events, how do I book it, who do I contact, and has anyone run a hackathon there before?
Where the data comes from
- Venue research by Grok Bot, every field backed by a cited source and reviewed by a human.
- Past hackathons from public Luma calendars (Encode Club, Unicorn Mafia), linked to venues by postcode.
- Notes and corrections from approved organisers.
How to read it
- A policy is only set when a source says so. Otherwise it is “Unknown - ask”.
- Every venue shows its source and date. “Confirmed with venue” means an organiser actually checked.
- No venue publishes availability, so we don't claim it. Use the booking route and lead time.
Run it for your community
